Amy

Amy was a participant in the Understanding Science Project.

She was interviewed on 33 occasions: 8 times in Y10; 9 times in Y11; and 14 times in Y12 and twice in Y13.

Amy's understanding of science

A protein is something which is used for growth and repair

A visual teaching model of ionisation in the mass spectrometer

Chemical bonding and how atoms are joined together are completely different

Current only slows down at the resistor - by analogy with water flow

Energy can be created, but only in biology

Some crazy thing about a neutron turning into a proton or something

Amy suggests electrical resistance depends upon density
