Learners' understanding and thinking about atoms, ions and molecules

Some examples from ECLIPSE of what students have said relating to atoms, ions and molecules:

K-plus represents a potassium atom that has an extra electron

Plus and minus signs represent the charges on neutral atoms

The electron in a hydrogen atom is subject to frictional forces

This is just one of a wide range of science topics that learners have talked about in ECLIPSE projects.
