Analysing

Research Questions

This simple framework may be useful for analysing research questions in studies.

In your reading:

  1. It can direct you to what to expect elsewhere in a research report;

  2. It can help you search for coherence in a research study

It may also be useful for thinking about the suitability and adequacy of your own research questions.

The questions in black text refer to the logic of a research design. The red text invokes consideration of the ethical aspects of a study.

You can download a copy of this diagram (for example, if you wish to annotate it when analysing particular studies):   RQ Analytical FW.pdf
