Al-Biruni

Abū al-Rayḥān Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Bīrūnī, (973 – c. 1052) was a Muslim scholar and polymath – known as an astronomer, a mathematician, an ethnographer, an anthropologist, a historian, and a geographer.
