Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (1849 –  1936) was a Russian and Soviet experimental neurologist, psychologist and physiologist. He is best known for his discovery of classical conditioning (sometimes reffered to as 'Pavolvian conditioning') through his experiments with dogs.
