A topic in research methodology
This simple framework may be useful for analysing research questions (RQ) in studies.
In your reading:
- It can direct you to what to expect elsewhere in a research report;
- It can help you search for coherence in a research study
It may also be useful for thinking about the suitability and adequacy of your own research questions.
The questions in black text refer to the logic of a research design.
Do the RQ support an ethical study?
The red text invokes consideration of the ethical aspects of a study. In considering what would need to done in order to answer a research question one should consider how those actions might have consequences for those involved in or impacted upon by the study. This may indicate RQ should be modified to ensure an ethical study.
