The Lillian McDermott Medal is awarded annually by the American Association of Phyiscs Teachers to someone considered to "have made notable and intellectually creative contributions to the teaching of physics".

For many yars this was referred to as The Robert A. Millikan Medal, but was renamed in 2021 because of Nobel prize winning physicist Robet Millikan's association with organisations supporting eugenics policies (such as enforced human sterilisation).
